We spent 3 nights in this Bed and Breakfast place. It was best value lodging and around 20-25 min walk into old town historic center. There is no private parking, and we needed to make sure that we didn’t park in a resident with permit required. Although it is on a busy street, our room was quiet and comfortable. It is a self-checkin process where we were given an entry code to the apartment and a separate code to our room. The room was small though it has a little “hall” that had a table that has coffee maker with instant coffee and teas. The breakfast area has a nice, comfortable lounge. It has a refrigerator where we can put our food & drinks. The complimentary breakfast is continental style with pastries, fruits, yogurts, bread, & condiments. The best part of breakfast is the cappuccino maker. I am prediabetic and it would have been good to have either cold meats or hard boiled eggs for breakfast. The staff and the owner were friendly. The facilities were clean and the front yard was well kept. It is walking distance to restaurants and a pub. There is also a gas station nearby though we didn’t need to go. Overall, we enjoyed our first time staying in Cardiff and recommend this place.

Pros: The rooms and breakfast (which you preorder) are excellent value for money. The facilities are also excellent. Very clean inside and plenty of fresh linen from the maid if you require. Lots of food and drink places within a few minutes walk. (The Four Elms is a great pub.) Cons: Our room (6) was on the top floor with no lift. It was small but nice. There is no good view from the dormer window. The parking was OK but I didn't like leaving my car there, as there was evidence that other cars had been broken into. I took off one star from location for this reason only.

Room very comfortable, super clean and quiet. Nice TV. Breakfast was appropriate although we stayed 5 days and it was always the same. Staff friendly and responsive. Excellent communication. Location was perfect, just a short walk to the center of town.

A lovely, quaint Bed and Breakfast. Super clean and good location. The only reason I won't give the full 5 stars was because I found the beds quite uncomfortable. We had a triple room, but felt the room itself was quite small to have 3 beds in there. However, I would definitely stay again and I know my friends would.

Great location, room decorated to a high standard, comfortable bed. Really strong plug in the hallway that is incredibly off putting and can be smelled in the room, despite a closed door and both windows open. Not even olbas oil covered it up. For anyone sensitive to smells this is difficult and unpleasant. This means although I've given four stars, I couldn't stay again. Those with sensitive noses beware. To the owner: the smell is so strong, not even turning it off overnight and opening the windows addressed the issue.
